Living Room Renovations

The goal of this room was to create a space that functions for both the people AND the cats living here. It is now a clean and bright space that displays important items, while also serving as a cat jungle gym!

Changes Made:

• Fresh paint

• Painted all window & door trim

• Installed & painted new baseboards

• Selected new wood floor & rug

• Built brand new:

  • Cat window ledge

  • Display boxes (also functioning as cat steps)

  • TV box

  • Rolling ladder

  • Bookcases above ladder to hold books and for cats to crawl across!

This dark and outdated basement became brighter with just a few impactful changes. Since there are no windows, the lighting really makes a difference. And this sliding barn door (made from the same door) is so much more functional in the small hallway!

Changes Made:

• Painted brick fireplace

• Removed grate & installed an electric fireplace

• Stained mantle & built floating shelves

• Mounted TV to the wall

• Selected new carpet

• Transformed old door into a sliding barn door

• Hung gallery wall

• Switched out light bulbs
